Myself and family members have bought several cars from Darrell over the years, the latest being an 87 240 wagon last month. The process of viewing and buying from him has always been very smooth and reassuring, with open and honest communication in all areas. If ever the time of buying another car did come again I would certainly first look at going through darrell, and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

I met with Darrell just before Christmas to view a 240 GLT he had advertised.
When I was there I instead fell and bought a Light Blue 240GL.
Darrell had only just had it in and not even advertised it yet so it was my lucky day.
Darrell explained that this happens frequently and very view cars get to the advert stage.
He has customers waiting for his call if a new car comes in.
Anyway my car because of Christmas I picked up in January and I am delighted with it. I would recommend anyone to contact Darrell even if he has no cars for sale on his website as you never know what he might have coming in or will be coming in.
Darrell himself is a lovely chap who I still keep in contact with.

I had heard about this man who not only sells classic Volvos but also rallies one and tow's his rally car with a Volvo.
I have had several Volvos "back in the day" and now was the time for another, checking the website a 1988 240GLT Auto caught my eye. When I spoke To Darrell he described the car in detail and was very honest about the cars good and bad points, it seemed to fit the bill perfectly for our daily drive and having read the Testimonials I went ahead and reserved the car.
When I went to view the car Darrell made a point of showing me all around it with no pressure or hard sell and he explained all that had been done to make it ready for its new owner. I bought it.....
Several weeks later the car is in daily use and is running like a dream.
I am so glad I went to a Classic Volvo expert and enthusiast who knows the cars inside out.

Darrell was super helpful from my initial enquiry, arranging a deposit to secure the car, offering to collect me or drop off the car (80 mile round trip), putting it through it's MOT after he realised it was due in a month later, then staying on late for a pick up time that suited me. Great friendly service.

Really pleased with my Nissan Micra and it was well prepared. There was a minor issue not long after I received it, however there were no quibbles at all with the warranty and I could take the car to a local garage for the repair for my convenience. I bought a 1990 Volvo 245 from Darrell , I flew over from Ireland, Darrell met me near the airport and I drove the Volvo from there to Darrells business premises ,that was the test drive , about 40 miles. Darrell has a fantastic knowledge of Volvos is and he was great to deal with, the car was as described and the next day I drove to Holyhead about 300 miles , ferry to Dublin and then drove 200 miles to the West of Ireland, no problems.
