HISTORY: This Volvo 240GL estate car was purchased at SMAC Harlow in August 1989 by its one and only owner, a Mr Hernaman of Hornchurch. It has an early Dealer service history then maintained regularly by the engineer owner.
The DVLA Online MOT history confirms the mileage as accurate having covered under 5000 miles since digital records commenced in 2006.
The previous owner used and maintained the car until 2020 when, due to his ill health, it was parked on his drive and no longer driven on the road. It has been regularly started and run in the period since.
I was approached by the owner about a year ago to see if I was interested in purchasing this car, which of course I was, but he then changed his mind as he didn’t want to part with it. Subsequently, I was contacted by his son to say that Mr Hernaman had died, that they had found his notes of our previous discussions and I purchased the car from him for recommissioning. Under a separate heading below, I have listed the comprehensive work carried out by us prior to offering this car for sale. A new MOT will be carried out for the new owner, after a sale has been agreed.
